About Me
I’m Ryan — a wedding photographer based in Hastings, East Sussex.
Outside of weddings, I’m usually listening to music, spending time with friends and family or planning the next trip with my girlfriend, Ruby. We’ve travelled across more than 20 countries together, with Southeast Asia holding a special place in our hearts. A lot of those experiences shaped how I see people, moments, and connection — which naturally found its way into my photography too.
How It Started
My journey into photography began in 2016 while inter railing through Europe. I was in awe of the beautiful architecture and busy city life in Las Ramblas, Barcelona. What started as casually documenting places and moments quickly became something much bigger. I was hooked. Not long after, I bought my first camera and started properly learning the craft of photography, storytelling, light and composition.
Turning Passion Into Purpose
After spending a year backpacking through Southeast Asia, I realised this was something I wanted to pursue seriously.
I went on to study photography with The British Academy of Photography, completing my HNC and being named as their Photographer of the Year in 2022.
In October 2024, I took the leap into full-time wedding photography — and I haven’t looked back since.
How I Work
With close to a decade behind the camera and over 70 weddings photographed, I’ve learned that the best moments are rarely planned.
It's the little glances during the vows, the reassuring hand hold saying "I've got you", the raw emotions during the first look and the uncontrollable laughs during the speeches. That’s what matters most and that's what you'll always come back to.
My approach is calm, candid and unobtrusive. I’ll guide you when needed, step back when it matters, and make sure nothing ever feels forced or uncomfortable. So you can stay fully present, enjoy the day with your favourite people, and trust that it’s all being captured.
